A Silent Tragedy

Since the start of this war more than 17 months ago, Sudanese people have witnessed the destruction of their homes, hospitals and places of worship. The situation is particularly critical for the most vulnerable:

  • Extreme malnutrition: Approximately 25 million people suffer from malnutrition, with 14 million facing acute hunger.

  • Mass displacement: Violence has forced millions to flee their homes, seeking refuge in precarious conditions.

A Call to the International Community

Despite the magnitude of the suffering, international attention has been insufficient. Today, on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, it is crucial that the world not only recognizes this crisis, but acts. The Sustainable Development Goals targets are in decline, and it is imperative that governments and international organizations redouble their efforts to address this tragedy.

What Can We Do?

  • Inform and raise awareness: Sharing information about the Sudanese crisis is essential to raise awareness.

  • Support humanitarian organizations: Contributing to organizations that are working on the ground can make a significant difference.

  • Lobby world leaders: Urging our governments to take concrete steps to help Sudan is essential.

The crisis in Sudan is not just a local problem; it is a global challenge that requires our immediate attention and action. On this symbolic day, let us remember that every effort counts and that together we can make a difference.
